Back in the saddle!

Let’s try this again and see if I can keep up! I have added some of my recent team banners/posters to the gallery so be sure to check them out! I am also trying to add some from recent years. My all time favorite would be the 2018-19 dance poster with their Vikings theme. (I won’t even tell you how many photoshop layers it had!) Not only did they go to State, but I tweeted (and tagged) Adam Thielen in it and he retweeted a shout out to the team! How awesome is that?? If you didn’t see the dance, they started out as vikings and then to the Minnesota Miracle they switched to Minnesota Vikings. If the link works, you can watch it here on YouTube. https://youtu.be/L7D-bx0dlao If you want to hear the music better and their State performance, check this one out! https://youtu.be/CLWokJo2KE0

2018-19 Bagley Dance Team

Ali

After spending most of the day working on cross country and football posters, my afternoon travels took me to Clearwater Lake for a quick senior picture session with Ali.  It was fun to include her 6-year-old brother in a few pictures as well.  The blue eyes in these kids are breathtaking!  Beautiful girl, beautiful family.  Thanks for the coffee and the visit afterwards 🙂   Can’t wait to go through more of the pictures from today!

Feeling Like Fall

Fall is in the air and it’s Senior picture time as well as football season!  This week I got to spend some time with Dalton and then later his family for a couple of family pictures after his senior session.  I met with and photographed the seniors on the football team Friday before their first game for what hopefully will be

a really cool poster.  On my way to Fargo that evening, I stopped off in Lake Park to watch the first half of the football game since our first home game isn’t until week 3.  Next week looks to be just as busy.  Stay tuned…

So what do you do when your daughter asks if she can have some senior pictures taken at her favorite record store?   You head to Duluth and bring your camera!  Thanks to Electric Fetus in Duluth for allowing us to snap a few photos during our visit 🙂  Sierra loves her music and vinyl so we had to commemorate that with a few pictures.

Blane E.

I got to spend some time with my neighbors yesterday morning to snap some Senior pictures.  It is still hard to believe these kids are going to be Seniors (and I have one in my house as well!)   It was a fun morning and I got to meet a gentleman with some really cool old cars as well.   Here are just a couple to share.  Thanks Blane!

Panic mode

Next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I will be taking the Summer Rec baseball/softball pictures and now the panic is starting to set in.  Will I be able to get them all done in time, will my settings be correct, will it be too sunny, will it rain, will the parents be happy with them? These are just a few of the things that will be running through my mind until they are all done and handed out.   Hoping I have some family to help me with this as well as getting Emma to all of her activities (Swim Club, swimming lessons and track).  Oh yeah, and don’t forget my regular full time and part time jobs.  Yikes!Cadets

Busy Track Day!

The Section 8A track meet was held at the Bagley complex last Saturday.  After more than 6 hours of shooting over 1300 pictures in the hot sun (and no food until 3:30 p.m.), I was completely exhausted when I got home.  Nonetheless, I persevered and got up Sunday morning and proceeded to crop and edit the pictures so I could upload 958 pictures to my Flickr site for the kids and families to enjoy.  The highlight was being able to shoot my nephew in his 110M hurdle race in his lane to get a head on shot.   If you haven’t seen the link yet, you can head here to see them.  https://flic.kr/s/aHskXDtBE6Max collage

New Adventures

As my photography requests have taken off this fall/winter, I have decided to venture out a little bit more and present a more professional outline of my skills.  I have had a lot of fun learning and doing more with Photoshop templates.  Not only taking the image from the camera, but creating something new and exciting with the computer has been a fulfilling adventure.  Creating the image of my daughter Sierra below was very rewarding as well as finding just the perfect text.  background-18
